BPL suspends club officials

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) suspended four club officials this week over alleged indiscipline. The suspensions come after the controversies that marred last weekend’s be MOBILE Premier League games.

Police XI coach, Sthando Mogwadi, his assistant, Maitumelo Letlaamoreng and the Motlakase duo of Grembo Kealotswe and Motlamedi Gagomokgwa have been suspended from all Botswana Football Association (BFA) activities pending a disciplinary hearing on April 3.  The development means that Mogwadi and Letlaamoreng will not be on the bench when Police XI take on Gaborone United (GU) tomorrow at Molepolole Sports Complex. The two are charged with one count of misconduct by BPL chief prosecutor, Tshiamo Rantao. 

At Motlakase, Kealotswe and Gagomokgwa are alleged to have threatened violence and used abusive language during the match against Township Rollers last Saturday in Palapye. Rollers won the match 1-0 courtesy of a penalty in the 95th minute. The two Motlakase officials have been charged with one count of misconduct.
