BOKA will not assist karatekas injured on club duty

The Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) has distanced itself from injuries that karatekas suffer when representing their clubs in competitions.

BOKA president, David Mathe made the comments after Tsholofelo Maduma picked an injury last year while representing SSG Club under Kofukan Federation. The athlete is still not fully recovered despite competing in the first leg of the senior national team selection held over the weekend at the BOKA hall.

Mathe told Mmegi Sport that it is difficult to assist athletes who have been injured at their clubs. He said they can only assist if the athlete is in the national team.
