About the Botswana Commonwealth Games team

Botswana has sent a strong 28-member team to the Commonwealth Games that kickoff next week in little known Gold Coast in Australia.

The team has been asked to bring home eight medals, which will be a record for any local team at the Commonwealth Games. Botswana is represented in athletics, swimming, boxing, lawn bowls and weightlifting.  The majority of the team members will make their debut at the games. Don't let FMD outbreak drag on

Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation.
