In a momentous announcement, Dr Matlhogonolo Mongwa, the visionary leader behind Kalafhi Medical Centre, has secured a coveted spot among Africa's Top 50 Business Heroes of 2023.

The esteemed programme, organised by the Jack Ma Foundation, saw Dr Mongwa emerge victorious from an extraordinary pool of 27, 000 talented and accomplished entrepreneurs across 54 African countries. This achievement not only celebrates her remarkable journey but also establishes her as the first female youth entrepreneur from Botswana to be honoured among the prestigious Top 50 since the initiative's inception five years ago.

The Africa's Business Heroes (ABH) programme, initiated by the Jack Ma Foundation, aims to identify and recognise exceptional African entrepreneurs who are driving positive change within their communities and inspiring the next generation of African entrepreneurship. Through a rigorous selection process, Dr Mongwa's application stood out among thousands, impressing a panel of expert judges who evaluated her based on a set of stringent criteria. Her selection represents a resounding endorsement of her mission-driven mindset, innovative spirit, unwavering passion, boldness, and remarkable resilience.
