A 22-year-old woman was raped in the early hours of Sunday morning after she and her three friends were attacked by two men whilst walking home from an entertainment spot at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks.

The incident occurred around 4am as the quartet made their way to Nkoyaphiri. Police sources indicate that the four young women encountered two unknown men along the way. The woman attempted to run away, and whilst her friends managed to escape, one of the attackers chased after the victim, overpowered her, and dragged her into a nearby bush where he raped her.
