A 24-year-old woman allegedly killed her 28-year-old half-brother before taking her own life in Paje village, Rasesinyi ward, on Tuesday.
The incident was reported to Serowe Police Station on the same day. Acting Station Commander Mokganedi Gaofoge told Mmegi that the motive behind the murder-suicide case is still unknown, while investigations are still ongoing.
“We still do not know the reasons for this tragic incident,” Gaofoge said. “We are working hard to piece together what happened.”
Gaofetoge said that the preliminary information showed that the deceased man may have been struck with a rock before being stabbed. However, he stressed that the details are yet to be confirmed as investigations continue.
The police have not released any further information.
