Drunk driver smashes into Mmopane yard, injures teen girl

A family in Mmopane Block 1 was left reeling in shock after a speeding vehicle crashed through their boundary wall, hitting a 13-year-old girl on Saturday morning.

Mogoditshane Police Station acting commander, Assistant Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi, told The Monitor that the police received a report of the accident at around 10 am.

Ramaphoi explained that a Toyota Hilux, driven by a 23-year-old man, lost control before crashing into the family’s yard.
