Woman hangs herself in home

FRANCISTOWN: Gerald police are investigating a case in which a corpse of a 24-year-old woman from Selolwane ward in Tutume was found hanging at a friend's house in Gerald last Monday.

According to the station commander of Gerald Police Station, superintendent Motsholathebe Mothibi, the deceased was last seen on Sunday with a friend at a shebeen. The friend said they parted ways around eight in the evening and agreed that they would meet on Monday morning.

"The lady did not sleep at the place where she was staying with another friend and that friend left for work on Monday morning without seeing her," Mothibi explained.
