Warrant of arrest to be issued for sick defendant

FRANCISTOWN: An application for a warrant of arrest is expected to be issued against the main defendant in a multi-million-pula land deal because of the suspect's failure to appear in court since June this year, alleging ill health.

Regional magistrate Lorraine-Makati Lesang on Wednesday ordered the State to file an application for a warrant of arrest on Moloko Ursula Mokgokong by November 24, 2010.

"The desire is that the accused person should appear before the court so that the charge can be read," Lesang said.
