Unknown Letlhakane rapist still on the run

FRANCISTOWN: Police in Letlhakane are still searching for an unknown person who raped a 30-year-old woman at Setoto Lands two weeks ago.

Letlhakane Police Station commander, Superintendent Michael Maphephu told The Monitor that they are on the lookout for an unknown man who vanished into thin air. He stated that the victim disclosed that she was raped by an unknown man after drinking traditional beer at a local shebeen.

Maphephu shared that the victim was dragged by the unknown man to the bushes while on her way home from the shebeen. He appealed to the community with information relating to the matter to assist so that the culprit is taken into police custody.
