Unidentified woman found burnt

FRANCISTOWN: Tatitown police are investigating an incident in which an unknown woman was found burnt beyond recognition.

Tatitown Police Station commander, Superintendent Boipuso Baatweng told The Monitor that the incident was reported to them by a herder who was passing by at Belinah Lands near Marobela village.

Baatweng said the matter was reported by a 42-year-old man who explained that his herder found a burnt body whilst searching for their cows. He stated that when they attended to the matter, they found a body that was burnt beyond recognition but which they were able to identify to be of a woman. “We haven’t received any report of a missing person nor arrested anyone related to the incident.
