Residents of Boteti West have been encouraged to re-elect him due to his extensive leadership experience, both in the civil service and politics. Tsogwane would be the Vice President again if he could be chosen by the State President Mokgweetsi Masisi if the Botswana Democratic Party. Tsogwane is considered the heir apparent when Masisi's term comes to an end in 2018 provided his party wins the elections on October 30. Since 1998, Tsogwane has served as a Member of Parliament and has held the position of Vice President of Botswana since 2018. President Mokgweetsi Masisi praised Tsogwane, emphasising his ability to connect with people, represent their concerns, and his strong reputation even beyond Botswana's borders. "He is a leader with a proven track record of trust and leadership. I can personally attest to his dedication.
Vote for him and his councillors for continued trustworthy leadership," Masisi urged. He also encouraged residents to steer clear of opposition politics. Masisi urged Boteti West residents to reject opposition parties, saying, “even if they offer you money, don’t be swayed.” He highlighted that Tsogwane has consistently championed the development of the area and has never wavered in addressing issues he believed were in the best interest of the residents. At parliamentary level, Tsogwane has also demonstrated his capabilities and commitment. Masisi emphasised that Tsogwane’s track record and leadership speaks for themselves, urging the community to continue supporting him.
