MAUN: Civil Society Organisation (CSO) leaders have called for the translation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into indigenous languages to ensure that people comprehend them.

During a workshop organised by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Maun Lodge, CSO leaders buttressed the need for inclusiveness in SDGs implementation and monitoring calling for the agenda to be translated into all existing languages in Botswana for people to understand the commitment. The workshop at the end resolved to adopt the proposal for the translation of the SDGs into local languages and that government should help fund CSOs to help implement the SDGs.
