A 32-year-old man of Tshokwe village is currently in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) fighting for his life after he fell from a trailer that was being pulled by a tractor.

The iincident took place at Moimeissfontein Farm, situated some seven kilometres away from Baines Drift. According to Baines Drift police station commander, Onnetse Gagogosha, the incident occurred on Saturday evening and the man sustained serious spinal injuries.

Reports suggest that the injured man was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

"There were five of them sitting in the trailer. He lost balance and fell to the ground injuring himself in the process. "We are pleading with Batswana to be careful this festive season. "People should drink responsibily to limit accidents," Gagogosha said, adding that so far crime levels are low in his area as they have not registered any cases yet.
