MAUN: Three people died in an accident between Maun and Chanoga on Christmas Eve after their Toyota Altezza collided with a public transport bus.

Maun District Officer Commanding, Onious Madziba, told MmegiOnline that the accident occurred around 0545hrs.

"The accident happened about 21 km towards Maun and unfortunately three people who were in the Altezza died while the driver was admitted at Letsholathebe Memorial Hospital. “The bus had 60 passengers who sustained minor injuries but no one was admitted," he said.

Madziba said investigations are still ongoing to determine what caused the accident.


"We plead with people to obey road signs and drive responsibly," he said.
