MAUN: Three men have been arrested over the Splash’s equipment and money during a music show at the Maun Sports Complex over the weekend. Officer commanding District No. 5 Peter Gochela revealed that the three were arrested over the weekend and are still in custody for questioning.

Gochela said that they are investigating a case in which the organisers of a show held over the weekend featuring Splash reported a case of theft.  He said a mob stole P40,000, keyboards and mixers after a mob broke the gate resulting in the ensuing violence and vandalism. Gochela said the P40,000 was kept in a car and the organisers said they realised very late on Sunday that the money had been stolen together with the equipment.

According to reports, fans might have been angered by intermittent power failures that resulted in the performances being suspended for longer periods while technicians were attending to the technical problems. A lot of revellers who attended the show complained that the sound quality at the venue was very poor.
