Teen fatally stabs stepfather

A teen girl is in police custody after she allegedly stabbed her 60-year-old stepfather to death whilst defending her mother during a violent domestic fight at Old Naledi, Gaborone over the weekend.

According to No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Obusitswe Lokae, they received the report of the murder incident on Saturday night around 10pm.

“Initial reports suggest that there was a heated dispute between the mother and the stepfather. It is alleged that the stepfather attempted to assault the woman with an object when the teenage girl intervened from behind and stabbed him with a knife,” Lokae told The Monitor.
