Selebi-Phikwe police station commander, superintendent Victor Nlebesi told Mmegi that despite their efforts to address the situation, they continue to register new cases. He noted that the matter is of great concern and needs immediate intervention from all stakeholders.
He said investigations have shown that the drugs are smuggled into the country from neighbouring countries, with marijuana the most common.
