Maun Acting Police Station Commander, Assistant Superintendent Moutwatsi Ikobeng, said the incident happened around 10 am at the deceased’s home in Boseja ward, route nine location.

He explained that during the fight it is alleged that the suspect picked up a large stone and hit the 23-year-old man on the chest, causing him to collapse.

“The victim, a native of Boseja ward, was rushed to Letsholathebe Memorial Hospital where he was certified dead on arrival by doctors,” Ikobeng said.

According to police, both men were employed by the same construction company in Maun. However, the motive behind the fight remains unclear.

“Investigations are ongoing to establish what the fight was all about. We have since arrested the suspect and he is currently in police custody assisting with investigations,” Ikobeng added.
