Speeding car crashes into sleeping motorist in Kopong

A 44-year-old man of Kopong village died whilst sleeping in his parked car at a local bar, which was hit by a speeding vehicle on Saturday morning.

According to police, the incident was reported at around 6:30 am. Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased had been sleeping inside his vehicle, which was parked within the bar premises, when the fatality occurred.

Mogoditshane Police Station acting commander, Assistant Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi, confirmed that a 25-year-old man driving a VW Golf lost control of the vehicle before crashing into the stationary car.
