Family's suspicions led to exhumation of Kalamare woman's body

The body of a 35-year-old woman from Kalamare village, who was buried on May 30, 2026, is set to be exhumed today following concerns raised by her family regarding the circumstances surrounding her death.

According to police, the woman allegedly collapsed weeks ago whilst intimate with her 40-year-old boyfriend. Realising that she was no longer responding, the man reportedly rushed to seek assistance from a neighbour before the pair transported her to a local clinic.

Confirming the matter in an interview with MmegiOnline, Mahalapye police station commander Superintendent Ntoko Simane said the woman was certified dead on arrival by the doctors.
