Four weeks after a 23-year-old herder went missing from a cattlepost in the outskirts of Letlhakane, police say the search for the young man is intensifying.

According to Letlhakane police, the missing person, who was employed as a herder at the Xharamxaa cattleposts, left his place of work on February 16, 2026, without informing his employer of his whereabouts.

New Letlhakane Police Station commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari, said the employer became worried after the young man failed to return home and subsequently reported the matter to the police. Rari said before making the report, the employer had travelled to Mogorosi village, the missing man's home village, to look for him.
