As election cycle heats up, candidates are offering money to potential voters and the latter are demanding incentives in exchange for exercising their civic duties. This worrying self-entitlement mentality also known as vote buying, seems to be widespread as the election fever hits the country, Mmegi Staffer TSAONE BASIMANEBOTLHE observes

Vote buying is the offer of money, material goods or services to voters by election contestants (political parties or candidates) in exchange for votes.
