SA Man Charged For Running Over Person

FRANCISTOWN: A South African national with business interests in Botswana appeared in court on Friday to face one count of causing bodily harm.

The State alleges that Frederick Christian de Jager, 47, ran over Onneile Mbotho  with his car on August 25, 2018 at Matsiloje village in the North East District and in the process, left Mbotho with a fractured leg.

The reason de Jager allegedly ran over Mbotho – who is said to be his friend – with his car was not disclosed when de Jager was arraigned but will be revealed during trial.
