Revered Kgosi Sekgoma laid to rest

SEROWE: Multitudes from across Gammangwato, Botswana and indeed across the borders braved the cold and windy weather over the weekend to lay to rest Kgosi Mokhutshwane Sekgoma here.

Sekgoma, who was Kgosikgolo Khama IV’s uncle, died in a car accident whilst driving back to Serowe from a funeral in Kanye a fortnight ago.

Since his passing, Sekgoma, who will be fondly remembered for his calmness in dealing with the President Mokgweetsi Masisi administration and Kgosi Khama IV's battles of the Kgotla, has been described as a towering fountain of wisdom, culture, and tradition by various speakers and commentators on his life.
