Pupils return amidst unresolved Tshwaragano ablution crisis

As government schools opened yesterday, the sticky situation of the Tshwaragano Primary School dysfunctional lavatories was still unresolved. The Gaborone City Council (GCC) ran helter-skelter yesterday, trying to fix the few toilets that the school’s over 1,000 pupils could temporarily use.

Some of the pupils’ parents and the area’s councillor have threatened council that they will force the closure of the school if the problem is not resolved.

Gaborone city clerk, Mpho Mathe acknowledged that the situation at Tshwaragano is not ideal and his council is working around the clock to fix a few of the toilets.
