Confirming the incident, Mogoditshane Police Station acting commander, Assistant Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi, said the fire was first noticed by an employee at the garage in the early hours of the morning.
“The employee reported that he heard a sound similar to an explosion whilst asleep at around 2am. When he went outside to check, he found vehicles on fire and immediately reported the matter to the police. Police officers and the Fire department rushed to the scene and attempted to extinguish the blaze. However, by the time the fire was brought under control, 15 vehicles had already been destroyed," Ramaphoi said.
