Police in Palapye have launched a manhunt for a suspect who attacked and raped a woman in Extension 10, Palapye, on Saturday morning.

Palapye Assistant Police Station Commander Goletwa Kethamile confirmed the incident, stating that the victim is a 27-year-old Zimbabwean woman who was walking alone from her home in Extension 10 heading to work in the village centre.

Kethamile said the attack occurred shortly after 7 am when the woman met a stranger along the road. The man allegedly pounced on her, dragged her into a nearby bush and raped her.
