Police kill suspect in shootout

According to a source within the security forces, the four suspects were being tracked from Shell Filling Station in the Main Mall where they tried to rob but gave up when they realised police officers were in the vicinity.They then proceeded to the Shell Filling Station at the Bus Rank where they parked their vehicle before the shooting ensued.One of the employees, who was on duty Nametso Modukanele, said the four men asked her if she was the one who was resuming duty, after answering them they left the filling station.
"I was still helping a customer when I heard gun shots outside; so I dashed out of the shop to escape from the shooting," said Modukanelo who told Mmegi that because she was so scared she could not even attempt to see what was going on. The incident happened around 10pm.As soon on the footage of the CCTV, the four men first came in a blue Nissan March before they left but returned in a black Golf 4.After arriving in the Golf they sat inside the vehicle for about five minutes before police officers, in a vehicle, parked behind them shot the left rear tyre. The four tried to escape from the vehicle but security agents kept on shooting at the suspects.
