Following a tip-off, police in Palapye have arrested three men found in possession of two cow carcasses in the early hours of Saturday.

According to Assistant Superintendent Goletwa Kethamile, the assistant commander of Palapye Police Station, the officers caught the trio offloading the meat at one of the suspects’ yards in Palapye.

He said the men failed to account for the carcasses when questioned by the police. Kethamile revealed that preliminary investigations show the cows were stolen and slaughtered at a cattle post on the outskirts of Radisele.
