Personal relations with Seretse force Ngakaagae out

After his former client, Bakang Seretse, was charged by the same organ he is now heading, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Kgosietsile Ngakaagae, has recused himself from the case.

This follows the reinstatement of a criminal prosecution on the controversial National Petroleum Saga (NPF) case this week.

In a statement released this morning , Ngakaagae says he has recused himself from all matters involving Seretse. Before being appointed DPP last year, Ngakaagae legally represented Seretse in corruption matters, some connected to the same case before court.
