Pedestrian killed in road accident at Metsimotlhabe

A 43-year-old man of Metsimotlhabe village died on Saturday afternoon after he was hit by a vehicle whilst attempting to cross the road opposite Top Centre Bar along the Gaborone–Molepolole road.

Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Mbiganyi Letsholathebe, confirmed that police are investigating the fatal accident, which occurred at around 1:20 pm.

Letsholathebe said the deceased was hit by a Mercedes-Benz driven by a woman who was travelling from Gaborone towards Molepolole. Following the collision, the victim was rushed to Julia Molefe Clinic, where he was certified dead on arrival after sustaining serious head injuries.
