LERALA: Kgosi Sello Moroka of Lerala has stated that nobody can remove him from his position because he has not committed any offence to warrant that. In an interview following the chieftaincy issues that has embroiled his village, Moroka said it is impossible for anyone to just remove him because there is no clause in the administration of bogosi that morafe can use.

“There is no criminal or civil offence against me and the morafe’s petition to remove me does not have sound reasons that could form a basis to warrant my removal. I am the legitimate kgosi,” he said. Moroka said he will continue to lead the community of Lerala accordingly and will stand firm in discouraging the spirit of belittling traditional leaderships and fueling social injustices as some members of the community are doing. He explained that he is supposed to go and further his studies and that means somebody would have to act on his behalf.

He said procedurally, his deputy Ookeditse Shaw could hold the fort, but said he is implicated in some criminal activities, some of which are already under investigations.
