No charges laid against security guard

A 25-year-old security guard who killed an alleged robber mid this month will not face any charge.Mahalapye Police Station commander, Olefile Badisang confirmed this yesterday. He said preliminary investigations do not implicate the man with the murder charge or any other charge.

“He has not been charged with anything,” he said. The station commander further explained: “These men (alleged robbers) attacked the poor guard whilst he was on duty at the guardroom. There were three of them and he was alone”.

Badisang explained that as a result of the scuffle with the three armed robbers, one of them lost their life.
