Murder suspect hands himself to the police

A middle-aged man known as Spikiri yesterday handed himself to the police in connection with a murder that occurred on Sunday in Bontleng location in Gaborone.

Urban police station commander, superintendent Obapotswe Moremi said the man was accompanied by his parents on Monday morning when he handed himself to the police. He was immediately taken into custody.

“Since Sunday the police have been searching for him to no avail but yesterday he voluntarily handed himself to the police and was detained on suspicion of murder,” Moremi said.
