A 32-year-old woman and her 16-year-old daughter are hospitalised with serious injuries after they were involved in a car crash along A15 on the Serule–Selebi Phikwe road on Saturday afternoon.

The duo was travelling in a Honda Fit vehicle that was driven by a 39-year-old woman who lost control of the vehicle and hit an animal control fence by the roadside.

No.2 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang said the accident occurred around 12:30pm about four kilometres away from Serule.

"The driver escaped the accident with minor injuries and has been charged with driving without due car. The injured mother is complaining of body pains whilst her daughter has sustained a fractured left, thigh, and ankle, and they are both hospitalised at Selebi Phikwe hospital," Oketsang said.
