MOLEPOLOLE: The Bakwena capital over the Easter weekend had its fair share in the fight against gender-based violence (GBV) with a football tournament campaign held at the Molepolole Sports Complex.

The event dubbed ‘Kick Out Violence Football Tournament’ was held on Saturday in a bid to spread the message in the fight against the scourge whilst promoting women’s football. The one-day event featured a football game between national champions, Gaborone United and Kweneng Region Division One league contenders, Mexican Girls.

In addition, social football teams including Mas Fina SC, Molepolole Prisons SC, Rabali SC and Mapiano SC took part in the day’s activities.
