Mogae departs for Tunisia

Former President Mogae will leave the country today to for Tunis, Tunisia to attend Tunis Forum on Tunisia & Sub Saharan Africa on the Theme “Towards a Sustainable Integration”, which will be held from June 5-6, 2014.

A statement from the Office of the President says Mogae will return to Botswana on June 6.

Last year the former president was among former heads of state who were assigned to mediate between deposed Egyptian president Mohammad Morsi and his opponents in the army. He recently submitted a report to the African Union Commission.  Egyptians held elections last week in which General Abdel Fatah al Sisi emerged victorious.
