Mmegi scoops six awards

Victor Muyakwabo started reporting for Mmegi in 2010 but today the young man has bragging rights after scooping the Print Journalist of the Year. Muyakwabo told Mmegi that he was very honoured to have won the award noting that it was humbling as he was the youngest recipient among the winners. He explained that the award was a sign that he has a bright future ahead and credited the likes of Mmegi Editor, Tshireletso Motlogelwa, former Mmegi Political Reporter Ephraim Keoreng, Political Reporter, Bame Piet and former Mmegi Editor, Gideon Nkala for mentoring and making him the kind of reporter he is today.
Muyakwabo said he still vividly remembers, Motlogelwa's words when he once told him not to be afraid to explore his writing skills, listen and do what he is told.To this day Muyakwabo said the words still anchos through his work as he has now adopted the phrase, "when you sweep the streets sweep then in a way that when people look at them, they will then say that guy was one hell of a sweeper".
