A 39-year-old man from Mmathubudukwane village has been remanded in custody after he allegedly set ablaze the local police station, destroying a government building worth P1.6 billion.

Ian Bafo Legobo appeared before the Mochudi Magistrate's Court on Monday following his arrest on Sunday. He is facing a charge of arson after he reportedly torched the Mmathubudukwane Police Station, which was constructed in 2019. The incident occurred on Friday night.
