Missing Kasane man's belongings found at Chobe River

The search for a 27-year-old man from Kasane who was reported missing on Friday is ongoing after his clothes and mobile phone were discovered along the Chobe River bank on Sunday.

Kasane Police Station commander, Superintendent James Maabong, said search operations have been ongoing since Friday in the river channels and surrounding islands at the Chobe–Zambezi river junction.

“Since Friday, we have been searching for the missing man, and on Sunday, whilst the search was still in progress, his belongings were found by the riverbank. The items included a pair of trousers, a jacket, and a mobile phone," he said.
