Man rapes ex-girlfriend whilst collecting firewood, flees

FRANCISTOWN: Police in Palapye are investigating a rape incident in which a 35-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend and vanished into thin air.

No2 District officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Paul Oketsang said the incident happened on June 10 in the evening at Moshakgalo Lands near Maape village.

Speaking on the matter, Oketsang said the 31-year-old victim went to collect firewood at the nearest bush and was accompanied by her cousin, 30. He narrated that while the cousin duo was still collecting firewood the ex-boyfriend emerged from nowhere.
