Man found hanging from a tree in Maun

In an incident suspected to be a suicide, a man was found hanging from a tree in Samedupi settlement in the outskirts of Maun on Saturday evening.

The incident is being investigated by the police to ascertain what transpired. Maun Police Station commander, Superintendent Joseph Lepodise, said they received the report from a 52-year-old woman informing them that her son found an unknown man hanging from a tree behind her farm.

Lepodise added they then rushed to the scene and took the young man to Letsholathebe Memorial Hospital where he was certified dead on arrival by doctors.
