Man fights for dear life after early-morning stabbing

Following a night of heavy drinking, a group of friends found themselves entangled in a serious altercation, resulting in a life-threatening confrontation.

The incident took place at around 3am on Sunday in Tlokweng, where a 31-year-old man from Rramaloto ward was brutally stabbed four times beneath his left breast. Tlokweng Police Station commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari confirmed the grim details to The Monitor.

“The victim is currently fighting for his life at Princess Marina Hospital (PMH) while the suspect, a 21-year-old man of the same locality is in police custody for investigations. The young man has been charged with grievous bodily harm,” Rari said. The young man is set to appear before Extension II Magistrate's Court to answer for this single-count offence.
