Man arrested after stabbing 62-year-old stepfather

A 62-year-old man is recovering at Princess Marina Hospital after he was stabbed in the chest, allegedly by his 33-year-old stepson, in the early hours of Saturday.

Mogoditshane Police Station commander, Superintendent Mbiganyi Letsholathebe, confirmed the incident, saying the stabbing reportedly occurred around 4 am but was not immediately reported to the police.

He said the police only learnt of the matter at around 10 am when nurses at Julia Molefe Clinic notified them after the victim was brought in for medical attention.
