Police in Machaneng have launched an investigation to locate and arrest a known individual who, on Saturday at a local shebeen in Machaneng, reportedly threatened another man with a machete.

This isn't the first instance of the suspect threatening the 36-year-old complainant.

The No16 District officer commanding, Senior Superintendent Nicholas Kadiatla noted that this duo has a history of conflict. “We do not know what the persistent fight between them is all about, but we have since launched investigations to establish that. The suspect was seen chasing the complainant with a machete at the shebeen, uttering words that he was going to kill him, but other imbibers stopped him, and the complainant managed to escape and went to report the matter to the police,” he explained.
