Kgosi Lotlamoreng II of the Barolong is expected to submit his resignation letter to the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Slumber Tsogwane today.

This follows shortly after his acceptance to run as the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) candidate for the Goodhope-Mabule by-election.

Lotlamoreng informed his tribe yesterday that he would take leave from the chieftaincy to pursue other interests.  He is currently deputy chairperson of Ntlo ya Dikgosi and would be handing over next Monday when business of house resumes.
