Late musian Atasaone 'ATI' Molemogi's funeral will go ahead in Lerala tomorrow after both families (his martenal and paternal ) reached consensus Friday afternoon.
There was uncertainty over ATI's funeral after his biological father, Annel Bayani felt sidelined regarding funeral arrangements. Bayani had applied to court to interdict the funeral, unless some conditions were met. Among the conditions that the families have now agreed to, both the Molemogi and Bayani families will now be included in the directors of the ceremony. The families have also agreed that ATI's father, Bayani and his family will be afforded time to speak his son's life at the funeral.
The families have also agreed that the obituary should be amended to note Annel Bayani as ATI's father.
"The Molemogi and Bayani families are humble to confirm that the send off of their beloved son, Atlasaone Molemogi, will be at Lerala village tomorrow Saturday, 6 October 2025," stated a Facebook post on ATI's page ATI died on August 31, 2025 in Gaborone following a short illness.
