Law Society expels 28 attorneys

The Registrar of the High Court has removed 28 attorneys from the roll of practicing lawyers after they failed to renew their practicing certificates.

In a published statement addressed to members of the public, the Law Society of Botswana (LSB) said these attorneys are therefore not entitled to practice and furthermore, are not members of the LSB. The attorneys who have not met the deadline for renewal of practicing certificates include Abigail Maguta, Opeyemi Adebola Ajayi, Fortune Evas Mupatsi, Isaac Lesedi Seloko, Tshepo Yame Kebabonye, Gwendoline Vimbai Mandizvidza, Kakanyo Phefa Mokwena, Tiroyaone Garebone, Kelly Carole Kelebile Phala, Kenneth Obeng and Lizo Ngcongco.

The others are Joba Nnoi, Mboni Mvimbi Manyothwane, Patrick Pelaelo Matlho, Albert Mhaka, Moagi Victor Ndlovu, Sesupo Mosweu, Aluta Katanaga, Ignatius Motsamai, Legomela Dittah Molodi, Nehemiah Obed Mugoni, Mashihi Otukile, Regina Mduma, Maipelo Michelle Tabengwa, Shame Taimu, Thamsanqa Silitshena, Dikeledi Phoo Dingake and Yunus Abdoo Baker Ismail.
