MAUNATLALA: The Tswapong MP who not long ago proclaimed himself as a pro-Ian Khama in the ongoing ruling Party factional war, Prince Maele over the weekend swept the stakes at the Branch Congress held at Maunatlala where the branch elected among others delegates for the historic Kang Presidential Elections Congress that will see the President being challenged for the first time since independence.

Maele will be leading eight councilors, and a further  eight  delegates that were voted at the weekend’s Congress  tat Maunatlala  to add to Khama’s proxy, Venson Moitoi’s tally.

Speaking in a side interview after the constituency congress which included elections, Maele applauded constituents saying he wasn’t expecting peace that prevailed during the elections due to the factions which have been visible ever since the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) primary elections, where he  was challenged by Setlhabelo Modukanele but emerged triumphant.
